GRAYSON “CHAOS” CAVODE |
General Age: 14 years Date of Birth: January 13th Gender: male Species: human/wizard Dimension: Misguided Ghosts Appearance SO MANY PICTURES OF HIM @_@ *DUMPS THIS OLD PICTURE OF HIM AND FLEES INTO THE SUNSET* Grayson’s overall appearance can be described as unhealthy. He is fairly tall and underfed, his skin is very pale and sickly, almost grey, and his pale blue eyes have dark bags around them, due to his lack of sleep. His pale greyish brown hair is choppy and very messy, sticking up all over his head and falling in front of his face. He is almost constantly shaking and twitching, making it hard for him to do things, so his shirt is rarely buttoned properly, and because of his habit of getting up early to wander around in the dark, his clothes rarely match, due to the fact that they are chosen without looking. He almost always wears pants, a long-sleeved t-shirt and an over-shirt or sweater, though. Personality Grayson is almost constantly incredibly nervous, jittery and shy, and refuses to talk to strangers unless it’s absolutely necessary, and when he does speak, even to friends, he stammers and blurts out everything that enters his mind out of nerves. Despite hating his nickname, he introduces himself as Grayson “Chaos” Cavode, though no one, least of all him, can figure out why. He is very easy to startle or scare and jumps at every little noise or flicker of movement. He relies very strongly on his best friend, Kelland, for support and assurance, and being near him seems to be one of the only things that can calm him down. He is very prone to panic attacks, more often than not, about them; some mysterious force that he claims follows him around and ruins things, making him bad luck, clumsy and accident-prone. During particularly severe panic attacks, he often loses all inhibitions and flees, or else he’ll just collapse, shaking, twitching, screaming, rambling laughing, or all of the above. There is almost no helping him when he’s like this, and even the best-intentioned gestures can worsen the condition. The best solution is to either let him come back on his own, or find Kelland. Family Mother: Unknown Father: Unknown Siblings: Unknown Other: Unkown History Overall History: Grayson was born to an underage mother who had attended Salem institute, who made a good choice in giving Grayson up for adoption rather than try to care for him herself, although she had pre-registered him at the same school she had gone to in hopes that it would increase his quality of life later on. When he was about six, the orphanage staff began to notice that he was withdrawn from the rest of the children, and exhibiting odd behaviour. They brought him to see a psychologist, who diagnosed him with ADD, schizophrenia and panic disorder. The staff, being the caring people that they were began to give him extra attention, especially after they tried putting him on medication several times, only to have each attempt fail for one reason or another. They kept him around for as long as they could, but after a very public episode involving Grayson having a very serious panic attack a little after his tenth birthday, there was no more ignoring it and he was sent to the nearest insane asylum where he spent the next year and a half alone and abused by the other residents. When Kelland was brought to the asylum for rehabilitation after being a test subject for secret illegal substances, he ended up as Grayson’s roommate. Their respective personalities seemed to balance each other out quite nicely, and they sort of clicked, becoming fast friends. They were inseparable for a bit more than six months, until it was discovered Kelland was a wizard and he was to prepare to be sent to Salem Institute. Needless to say Grayson was devastated. Grayson attributed it to absolute wonderful, spectacular, amazing, stupendous, fantastic, tremendous, complete and utter luck when a strange letter arrived for him at breakfast one morning, informing him that he was to be sent to Salem as well. At the school, Kelland and Grayson remained best friends and inseparable. Even more so when the school was destroyed during their third year. Using Kelland’s special abilities gained from his time as a lab subject on top of basic magic they managed to survive the disaster and were each assigned an Auror to escort them to Hogwarts School in England. Neither of them had any particular attachment to North America, not being able to remember any parents or family anyway, and were even sort of excited to go. |
