Zackary Sinclair |
General Age: 17 years Date of Birth: July 21st Gender: Male Species: (cursed) Human Dimension: Misguided Ghosts Appearance Link; link Zackary is very physically fit. Even so he seems lean, even skinny. He's not exactly the tallest person in the world, but he's not short, either. He is very pale, to the point where he almost looks white, or a very light shade of blue in some lighting. His hair is messy, and a dull shade of black. He has piercing yellow irises, which seem to glow when it gets dark enough. Most of the odd things about his appearance is caused by his 'condition,' but the more obvious changes to his appearance besides his eyes and skin were his fingers, which grew slightly longer and gained pointed tips, as well as his teeth, which are now about as sharp as little knives. He usually wears very dull-colored clothes, but he loves his hoodie the most, which is apparently extremely durable with two skulls on the front of it. He is often extremely protective of it, too, so taking it from him wouldn't be a good idea. Personality Zack shows off an act of strictness and seriousness when he feels like he's being watched by any one 'superior' to him, but when he thinks there's only those equal to or inferior to him watching he shows his true colors. In that case he's kind of timid, but also kind at heart with a kind of mischievous attitute. He likes to pull pranks on those he dislikes or feels as if they look down on him, and more often than not, scare them in some way. However, because of his 'condition,' as most people say, he tends to put pressure on himself, as if he needs to prove himself to the world. He hates himself for his 'condition,' and even more so, hates the personality that came with it. This personality only shows when he has emotional breakdowns, becomes extremely angry, or is in extreme pain. Sometimes, however, it seems to take over at completely random times, as if a switch has been flipped. When any of this happens, he suddenly looses all emotions other than a sadistic happiness and anger, along with a semi-calm state, and some rare, minor shows of sadness or fear. Likes

Family Mother: Alodia Sinclair (deceased) Father: Lotharius Sinclair Siblings: Sebastian Sinclair (older brother), Ackley Sinclair (older brother) Other: Eve Roberts (love interest) History Zackary was born with two older brothers and pure-blood parents, however, out of his entire family, he was the only one born without magic. Not only that, but his mother died of a mysterious illness when he was young. This made his family life quite the struggle. His father was very strict, and looked down on him as the runt of the family. Feeling a need to prove himself, he tried to do as much as he could to make his father proud. The eldest of the three brothers looked and acted almost exactly like their father, and so also looked down on Zack. However, Zack felt no need to prove himself to his brother because he thought that they were on an equal level. This often led to fights, when in the end, only got Zack into trouble. The second eldest son was soft-hearted, and often stayed out of family affairs. However, he and Zack were close friends, and he would try to protect Zack whenever he got into trouble for something he didn’t do. This also made their father look down on him, though. Not just because he was weak at heart, but because he would take the blame for things he obviously didn’t do. One day, while Zackary and his eldest brother were fighting, it got out of hand, quickly leading to an all-out brawl between the two. Since Zack stayed very physically fit, he easily bruised his brother, if not worse. Feeling he was truly threatened, Zack’s older brother took out his wand and was about to cast a spell when Zack snapped it in two. The mix was obviously not a good one, as an explosion erupted from it. Not only did it completely ruin the room and nearly destroy all the furniture in it, but Zack was knocked out and his brother given a broken bone. Both were sent to the hospital, where it was told that Zack not only suffered a concussion, but was somehow cursed, and that it couldn’t be removed. Of course, his father could care less, and was more concerned with his brother’s broken bone. Meanwhile Zack had forgotten a lot of things, including how to write and speak. Feeling sorry for the boy, some of the doctors and nurses tried to help Zack relearn some things. Both he and his brother went home a few months later. At this point he still didn’t remember much. Not only that, but the curse had taken a while to start showing itself, and it was finally taking affect. At first it only showed itself in the form of heightened senses, but then it started to show in appearance. He looked pale, his fingers started to look more like claws than anything, and his teeth shaped themselves into points. His soft-hearted brother had become fearful of him simply because of his appearance, leaving Zack without a friend or help to regain his memories. He became more and more angry at what he had become, but even more so at his uncaring family. Eventually this anger grew into rage, and his ‘other side’ showed itself for the first time. He attacked his family, only stopping when he was trapped by magic from his once best friend and soft-hearted brother. Their father promptly requested that Zack be locked away in azkaban for ‘his own good,’ (which angered him greatly,) but the only kind one in the family quickly overcame whatever shyness he had before and shouted over his innocence, saying he didn’t deserve it. Eventually he got through and Zack was allowed to be free, so long as he had constant surveillance from a witch or wizard that could subdue him, should he loose himself again. After some time his family moved to England, and he and his brother were sent to Hogwarts instead of the school they once attended in North America. There, things almost seemed to get a little better. At Hogwarts, Zack gained a crush on a girl who didn't seem to mind his intimidating appearance or closed attitude. It was a little after this that the rips started opening, and due to the overall danger, his surveillance lessened. It was only a matter of time before he was pushed too far, though. One day he lost himself again, but no one was watching him, and he almost killed the one who had pushed him over the edge. He managed to stop himself, though, as he remembered the girl. Scared of hurting her or others he cared about, he ran away, leaving the castle behind. He paused when he reached the lake, and, seeing the glowing eyes of his reflection, became furious with himself. He hated being mocked by his own eyes, as they glowed and revealed him to be anything but human. Consumed by his anger, he began digging his sharpened fingers into his eyes. Though it hurt, he felt as though he deserved it. His yelling gave away where he was, though, and soon he was found by his father and eldest brother, who had found the wounded victim of Zack's anger. His sibling, with wand at the ready, asked if he was ready to be sent to azkaban yet. At the time, Zack couldn't see anything, but hearing the voice, recognized his brother. He hadn't been listening to the words, but the voice itself enraged him. It was all his fault, after all. He wouldn't have become this monster if it weren't for him. He lost himself again in this instance, forgetting the reason that had stopped him before. By letting his 'other-side' take over, it adapted to it's new disadvantage, and allowed him to see again with nothing but the glow, which still remained, though his eyes were gone. However, his brother used his magic to throw him back, and he fell into the lake. Though his fear allowed him to instantly regain himself, he was unable to swim, and began drowning. He was close to death when he was finally saved, but he fell unconscious before he could even see his savior. When he awoke, he had been given medical treatment, which was basically just to heal the wounds around his eyes, as there was nothing that could be done about his actual eyes. It was about this time that he fell through one of the rips. |
