FELIX GAIL LOCKWOOD |
General Age: 17 years Date of Birth: July 18th Gender: male Species: Mutated human Dimension: random post-apocalyptic thing. xD (Not really a zombie apocalypse, but kind of close. DIDN’T EXPECT THAT ONE FROM ME, DIDJA?! ) Appearance link Picture of him with Ben. XD Felix has always been on the tall side, but years of rarely eating has left him fairly scrawny, although doing little besides walking and mainly physical activity has trained his body to be stronger and faster than one might expect. Not overly so, but a surprising amount to just look at him. Although he has always had thin, narrow features, his lacking diet has made his face sort of hollow, and little time to sleep, as well as the overall stressful situation has also left him with dark bags under his eyes. His hair is black and messy. It’s also fairly short, except for a few pieces near his face, in particular, a long, thick fringe that reaches his cheek bones. His clothes are fairly standard for his dimension; found, mostly. He has a few shirts and pants that are his, and his steel-toed boots and fingerless gloves are his own size, but the long, dark gray trench coat he wears is far too big for him, although tailored to just reach his knees. It is kept in place by a wide, tan leather band he wears around his stomach with a belt around it. He keeps the sleeves in check with two strips of fabric, one each tied around his arms just above the elbow, and the ends are kept tucked into the bands of his gloves. For reasons unknown to most, he also wears a thick pair of goggles over his bright blue eyes, and another leather band around his neck. He is often seen with his headphones on, and his army green burlap backpack is stocked with provisions, spare clothes and supplies, and never leaves his side. Personality He has always been fairly shy and very thoughtful, but after the disaster, the fact that his mutation has chased other people away from him in the past, not to mention Benjamin, have made him very untrusting and skittish. Given the chance, he will almost always flee rather than fight if confronted. However, this has also made him very lonely, and if you can prove yourself a friend, and get him to trust you, he will be undyingly loyal to you. Likes

Family Mother: Elaine Lockwood (deceased) Father: Roger Lockwood (deceased) Siblings: Arriyanna Lockwood (little sister, presumed deceased) History Felix had a fairly standard childhood, despite his inborn bi-polar disorder, and psychosis and paranoia, both of which were brought on by stress in middle school, from both school work, and more than his fair share of bullying. His life, however, was changed when a nuclear energy corporation called ApexCo started opening branches of their factories in and around Felix’s home city around the time that he was twelve. At first, it was fine. One factory at a time, hardly distinct from the other buildings and factories in town, releasing just as much pollution. It was around the time that the fifth branch opened that people began to get sick. This was getting to be a lot, but all petitions and protests from the citizens were ignored, and municipal legislation proposals to outlaw the company all failed, due largely to ApexCo’s expansive and top-notch legal team. By this time, the same was happening all over North America, and was beginning to spread to other continents as well, and any and all attempts to end it failed in one way or another. By this time, Felix was about fourteen. Fast-forward a year, Felix is fifteen, and people are disappearing. It’s all over the news. Most who were sick to begin with are now dead, and the illness is spreading all over the world, having gained the name ‘Apex Flu’ as it got worse. As this was going on, Felix’s family was falling on hard times. His dad lost his job, turning to drink, and his mother’s small paycheck barely kept them going. Felix searched for a job, eventually landing a part-time employment as a worker in an ApexCo facility. Though he was lucky in that he managed to get away with mostly desk work, he was still exposed to the toxic fumes emanating from within. But the pay was good, and combined with his mother’s recent promotion, it kept his family living comfortably for a long time. Things only began going downhill quickly a few months later. Felix began experiencing odd symptoms. He was coughing, his eyes were watering and he got frequent, severe headaches and stomach pains. Strangest of all; his mental state was worsening. His bi-polar was causing him to snap and shift from normal to irrationally angry and bitter at the drop of a hat for absolutely no reason. In certain cases, however, his temperament would be almost sadistic. This was completely out of character for him, and it was worrying for his parents and sister. The worst symptom of all though, was a secret Felix kept to himself; his psychosis was getting even worse. Rather than occasional echoes in episodic bursts, one constant voice in his head who introduced himself as Benjamin made himself known. He would whisper terrifying things to Felix constantly, robbing him of sleep, in turn making him even more irritable. The worst came a year later. An event known as ‘the disaster’; all that is known to anyone in the world is that seemingly all at once, every ApexCo facility in the world suddenly exploded violently, in perfect synchronization, killing off a large part of the world population. Four factions of survivors were created in that moment. The Fighters; those who were outside the factories, largely unaffected by the pollution and radiation. Fighters are found in strongholds; settlements ranging from small villages to sprawling wreckages of cities. They tend to be very mistrusting of outsiders. The Saved; those who had suffered from the Apex Flu, but were healed over time, and have out-lived their virus. The Saved are those who out-lived other sufferers of the disease, and are the most trusted by the Fighters. They can usually be identified by some kind of mutation. More often than not, their eyes. It varies from person to person, but their eyes or other mutations often resemble those of the Fallen. The Lost; those who were trapped inside the facilities, but managed to survive, mostly workers for ApexCo. Their mutations are generally the most severe, although most have still retained their humanity, if not their sanity. As they are untrusted by the more organized Fighter and Saved societies for what their company had done, they are seen as outcasts. There aren’t enough to really form a specific society, and any that do get taken down almost immediately by Fighters, and so they are usually found as wandering loners. Another important note; the symptoms of the Apex Flu have mutated, more resembling something like superpowers or physical mutations than an illness. And the Fallen. After the disaster, ApexCo’s secret agenda was discovered in the form of hostages kept in the basements and secret rooms of the factories. The Fallen are less humans than mindless animals now, severely mutated physically and mentally. This can range from extra arms to extremely strong superpowers. It varies from person to person, but one thing they can all be recognized is their blank black eyes. The stronger Fallen tend to have white pin-prick pupils that give off a faint glow in the dark. Felix is classified as a member of the Lost, as he was trapped in the factory where he was employed at the time, although he managed to survive, and escape, by staying hidden and moving quickly, both during the initial collapse, and the release of the Fallen. The first place he went was his house, where he found both his parents dead. His sister’s corpse was never found. He has since wandered the wasteland of his home, searching for a safe place to stay. He eventually found a Fighter stronghold. Not knowing the difference between this faction and what he had become, he assumed he was like them and was allowed to stay. Until his mutation manifested. At first, it was small. His headaches returned for a time, but he could ignore it. Then one night, in the middle of a stronghold meeting no less, he had a particularly severe psychosis episode, and those who witnessed it say a dark smoke began rising from his skin, and forming in the middle was a pair of solid blood-red eyes with slit pupils. No one remembers what happened after that, having been put under the influence of a trance, induced by Felix sub-consciously. When they woke up, he was gone, and a few supplies were missing from the warehouse. ((this’ll get continued in Benjamin’s history because this is getting long xD)) |
