BLAIZE GILBERT AMPERE |
General Nicknames: Jo calls him ‘Sparky’. This doesn’t annoy him too much, though. Occasionally, if she really wants to annoy him, she’ll call him by his middle name; ‘Gilbert’. Age: Looks 19. Actually 22. Date of Birth: January 17 Gender: male Species: ghost Dimension: Apex Disaster Appearance Link||Link Blaize has two main forms. In both, he is tall and fairly fit, though his limbs are rather skinny. His face is thin with delicate features, pointed ears, and sharp fangs. Most of his hair is styled back with a thick tuft in the middle and two long sections that hang down in front of his face, one on either side. His basic outfit in both forms consists of a solid-colored shirt under an open button-down t-shirt with a rip up the right sleeve, bandages wrapped around both of his hands down to about his mid-forearm, skinny jeans and sneakers. He only has one outfit because, as a ghost, he is unable to change his clothes, but he doesn’t really need to, either. In his basic form, he appears to be a monochromatic yellow. His skin is moderate champagne, he has pale yellow scleras, gold irises, and orange pupils, and his hair is bright blonde with tips that slowly fade into pale orange. His clothes are all some shade of amber, as well. The bandages on his hands are very light yellow in this form. His eyes glow in the dark in his basic shape. In his alternate form, that which allows him to most effectively use his powers, his colour scheme changes to bright blue. The most obvious difference between this and his basic form is that his legs disappear, becoming a cluster of bright cyan electrical energy, which his undershirt blends into. His button-down stays separate, and changes to electric blue, and his bandages turn pale silver. His hair becomes the same basic colour as his ‘tail’, though white, and bright, almost teal colors are blended into it, creating a pattern of color that almost seems to be moving. His hair also sticks straight up in this form, his tuft bending backwards, and his two fringes perking up a little. His eyes become solid cyan, and his skin turns blue-gray. Although he has no physical presence in either form, he seems even less tangible in when he’s like this, almost transparent, and constantly glowing brightly. Personality When first meeting Blaize, he is most noticeably sarcastic and uncaring, almost even a little mean or cruel. However, despite often giving the illusion of being aloof, lazy, and selfish (and his tendency to occasionally actually be aloof, lazy, and selfish) Blaize is actually a decent person, and rather easy to make friends with or get on your side, especially if you happen to be in Jo’s good graces. He secretly loves to feel helpful, and allowing him to put his powers to good use, and especially a few well—placed compliments can win him over very easily, and given his abilities, as well as his inherent talent for teamwork, he could make an excellent friend. On the other hand, while he doesn’t exactly have a bad temper, he can be made into an enemy just as easily as he can become your friend. Namely, he considers Jo to be his best friend, and while he’s aware that she is very capable of looking after herself, he is rather protective of her, so if you’re looking to piss him off, insulting or threatening her is a good way to go about that. Also, Jo is pretty much his best –and at this point, only- friend, so, not only do they share mutual feelings of protectiveness and caring, they get along quite well. Given their respective personalities, they tease each other a lot. For instance, Blaize likes to playfully scare her, threaten her, or tell her to kill herself so they could ‘hang out in the after-life’, although he would never dream of actually hurting her, and is always the first one to leap to her defenses in a fight. Family Mother: Lucia Ampere (status unknown, presumed dead) Father: Bradley Ampere (status unknow, presumed dead) Creator: ApexCo Siblings: none Other: none History Blaize lived a fairly normal existence in the pre-disaster world along with his family. He had a few friends, but he wasn’t necessarily popular, and although some people considered him to be a bit irritating, the general opinion of him was a basically positive one. He had heard about the ApexCo branches, and the damage they were supposedly causing to the environment, but he didn’t really pay the issue a lot of attention, seeing as he, and everyone close to him, managed to get by without getting sick. He started caring, however, when he was on his way home one night and was ambushed by a group of people wearing ApexCo uniforms and masks that concealed their faces. He tried to fight them off, but they quickly sedated him and tossed him in their van. He was knocked unconscious by the anesthetic they had injected him with pretty shortly after. When he woke up, he was in a locked cell by himself. Confused and scared, he began calling for help, although this turned out to be a mistake, as it alerted the Apex workers that he was awake, resulting in them only taking him for his first round of tests all the faster. In Blaize’s particular tests, they were experimenting to see if they could make human beings generate useable electricity. Through a series of cruel experiments, many of which involved all sorts of toxins and experimental fluids being injected into his system, they actually succeeded in making Blaize be able to conduct electricity through his body, and multiply the output. They began utilizing this to power the factory, but Blaize was killed fairly soon after that in a power surge. He woke up, much to his surprise, almost two years later, when he was killed again. His body had risen as a Fallen during the disaster, and, ironically, was killed with a taser gun to the temple. When he woke up, he found himself as a ghost, almost solid-yellow, with sharp fangs and his hands bandaged, covering the wounds he had received from being forced to hold an electrically charged metal pole for hours on end during his time as a prisoner of Apex.
