Janice "Jan" Faustus |
General Age: Unknown, looks to be in her early 20's Date of Birth: March 23rd Gender: Female Species: Human? Dimension: Eternalized Appearance Link; link Janice, before the accident, was just the average human girl. She wasn't slim nor chubby, and had slightly tanned skin with lots of freckles. Her hair was long and somewhere between brown and red in color. Her eyes were blue with flecks of brown. After the accident, her appearance changed drastically. Since her original body wilted away, she was 'moved' into a mechanical body. The mechanical body never moves, and is kept stored underground along with a few others like her. In the machine's created world, she lives with the few others and more than just a few NPCs. There, she appears like her old self, but occasionally 'glitches' and can appear either distorted or grey skinned with black and red eyes like the virus. Personality Janice can be a little distrusting to others at first, but is rather friendly, if a little sarcastic, once you get to know her. She's easily annoyed and not one to give in without a fight. She tends to be rather stubborn and hard-headed, though, and has to be reminded that it's better continue living than to die a pointless death. She tends to talk to herself a lot, but she's actually talking to a virus. Likes

Family Mother: Mrs. Faustus Father: Mr. Faustus Creator: In a way, the people who put her into the machine in the first place and/or the virus that corrupted it Siblings: N/A Other: N/A History Janice was born into a world technologically more advanced than ours, though it seemed rather similar. She lived a normal life, went to school, graduated, and overall seemed completely normal. She had gotten a job and worked regularly up until the accident. She was nearly killed in a car accident, and had to be taken to a hospital. She was fading quickly, and in an attempt to save her, they recreated her in a machine known to keep the body of the person alive while moving the spirit to the inner workings of the system until the body was able to heal itself. However, her body wasn't able to survive, and her spirit was trapped in the machine. Later, a virus corrupted the system, and the project was abandoned completely, assuming anyone within it at the time was lost forever. The virus took over the system and gained a life of it's own by corrupting some of the souls that were trapped. It multiplied, creating more viruses with every new soul it took. Jan was one of the souls it took, but the virus that was given life within her didn't want to be a part of the rest of the system. It worked with her to try and escape the bigger, more violent virus. Sharing her soul with it allowed the virus to have a form of it's own, though they tend to stick together for fear of fading, should one or the other die in some way. Jan has named the virus 'Half' and refers to him as a demon, since she doesn't actually know she was put into the machine. She assumes it's limbo, since all she remembers is dying, and believes the viruses are demons trying to drag her to hell. Half doesn't know about the machine, either, and assumes the same. |
