LORD RAIZIEL CASTOR FINNIAN ERAN II |
General Pseudonyms : Lord Raiziel, Lord Eran, Viscount Eran, Viscount Drakemoore, Viscount Shadows, Raiz, Raizi, Raz, Razzi. (basically anything you want to call him, his name is obnoxiously long) Age: 25 years Date of Birth: July 14th Gender: male Species: Cursed Pyromancer Dimension: ….Ill think of a title at some point idk basically everyone has a special power or small set of powers and it’s hereditary what kind of powers you have. The base elements are the rarest and families who control them are usually nobility, and the powers can be control of basically anything. Also the world is all twisty and weird not unlike BP!AU because that’s what high-fantasy looks like in my brain apparently Appearance link Raiziel, having grown up sickly and weak, is very thin, and his body almost appears elongated, though he is simply tall, but not overly so. Only adding to the unhealthiness of his appearance, his skin is a pale, dusty grey, and his eyes, which are luminous yellow with orange irises, are sunken, and surrounded by dark shadows. In addition, his facial features are as sharp and delicate-looking as one might expect. His hair is black, and is usually kept fairly short, but long enough that a few wispy curls hang around his face. The only anomaly is a white streak in his bangs that has been there since he was born. Everything about him seems frail and flimsy, like he could be blown away by a strong enough wind. He dresses formally most of the time, and is most commonly seen in an outfit consisting of a white undershirt buttoned up the side with a collar that ends part-way up his neck, visible behind the tall collar of his pale gold waistcoat. Over this, especially while outdoors, he frequently wears a long black coat with gold lining and pale orange ruffled collar, the same colour as his cuffs. With this, he wears tight black pants, and dark grey boots with simple gold trim. Because of his tall, insubstantial build, combined with his mostly-black wardrobe, he has earned the nickname ‘Viscount Shadows’ from his people. He also always wears an expensive-looking silver medallion around his neck, emblazoned with an arcane symbol that constantly glows bright orange. He keeps the strings hidden under the collar of his coat so that only the pendant is visible. Personality Raiziel, raised in the upper class as he was, is polite and well-spoken, especially in the public eye. His position as a viscount is important to him, and as it demands the ability to be sociable, he has learned to be so, despite the naturally quiet, shy demeanour he has had since childhood. He has become fairly good at putting on a façade of openness, and has played host to parties, meetings, and visiting dignitaries many times, but by default he is quiet and studious, locked in his room so often that even the majority of his house staff rarely see him. Because of his insubstantial appearance and the common knowledge that he was a sickly and weak child, and his well-known gentle demeanour, he has a reputation of being a pushover, but this is not strictly true. Although hardly temperamental or hard-headed, he can be stubborn and insistent, especially where the good of his domain is concerned. He also has a clear idea of what he likes and doesn’t. He dislikes the majority of his family, especially his siblings and rivals, with whom he is competing for his inheritance. He also dislikes liars, and can spot them easily because of his curse. As well, although insecure, he is, after all, nobility, and enjoys luxury. He is relatively picky about keeping himself and his surroundings at least clean. Likes

Family Mother: Earless Mary Fia Helen Eran (née. Ustrianna) (deceased) Father: Earl Kenneth Desmond Vaporo Eran Siblings: Lord Ezekiel Cornix Raymond Eran IV (older brother) Lady Gwenneth Emily Cassedie Eran (older sister) History The Erans, an old, noble family of pyromancers, have passed jurisdiction over a fairly large earldom down through the generations as long as anyone who lives there can remember. Most descendants of their line have proven to be good and well-respected rulers. This is because, rather than simply pass the earldom to the eldest of each generation, when each child comes of age, they are made viscount of a smaller section of the area, and the child proven to be the strongest leader by the time the parents pass away is made earl and inherits the title along with a large sum of money, and the family estate. Raiziel was born very premature, and his mother died giving birth to him. Raziel was also very sickly and weak growing up, and picked on by his brother and sister, both out of jealousy of the extra attention this got him from the house staff, and the fact that he had barely any control over fire as the rest of their family did. Although Raiziel grew to dislike his siblings, he cared far more about how distant his father always seemed to be. Hoping to earn his approval, Raiziel threw himself into his studies, as this was the only area he felt he could easily become strong in. Although this helped a little, his father still seemed more preoccupied with Raiziel’s siblings, grooming them for their competition for the inheritance. Raiziel was not meant to enter the competition, as he was believed, with good reason, to be too weak to rule properly anyway. Raiziel didn’t mind much, content to stay indoors for the rest of his life. However, through his studies, he discovered a legend telling of several wish-granting fountains. Seeing an opportunity to gain his father’s favour, he researched these fountains for several years. After gathering enough proof of their existence, he found out that one was fairly nearby. Travelling with a few guards and other members of staff, he ventured out to find it, and succeeded. When he drank from the fountain, as dictated by the legend, a spirit was summoned, to explain that he could have as many wishes granted as he would like, but for each wish, he would need to complete a quest. To have his wish for health be granted, he needed to find and retrieve a special, silver medallion. This was relatively simple as quests went, and was completed fairly easily with the help of his guards. His second wish, for the control over his inherent powers as a pyromancer, required that he find and kill a monster that had been terrorizing a nearby village. Although he was now healthy, he was still physically weak and insubstantial, having never trained with, or even lifted a weapon in his life. He found the monster, but had it killed by a guard. This was not enough to fulfill the quest requirement entirely. Since the monster had been killed, he was granted control of his powers, but since he had not killed it himself, he was also cursed so that whenever he is within earshot of a lie being told, his body is spontaneously engulfed in flame, and unless he is wearing the medallion he retrieved for the first quest, his powers go out of control, and it becomes incredibly easy for him to injure himself or others. Regardless, upon returning home, his father was impressed by the story, and allowed Raiziel to compete, giving him a large estate in, and jurisdiction over a county of his earldom called Drakemoore. |
