PRINCE ULIEL-MENTIS OMNIESSE |
General (You-leel Men-tiss Om-Nee-Ess) Pseudonyms: Uliel, Prince Uliel, The Mad Prince, Uliel the Mad, demon of the mind, Demon prince of the mind, the Demonic Mentis Prince, Uliel the Great (he’s mostly the only one who calls himself that) Age: unkown, immortal Date of Birth: unknown Gender: technically genderless, but chooses to appear male most of the time Species: Demon Prince of Mind Dimension: Something that doesn’t have a title idk there’s a rivalry between demons and angels and humans are caught in the middle I guess. So disgaea except not disgaea. Appearance link Uliel, as both a powerful demon and a master of illusions, can change any aspect of his appearance at will, though most of the time, he tends to stick to one basic form. Despite being one of the most powerful demons in his dimension, this form is rather simple, being a small-statured, thin young man, appearing almost human except for his long, pointed ears, slit-pupiled eyes with pale blue sclera and bright pink irises, and sharp fangs. His skin is also very pale, with black circles around his eyes, and a small, curved, zig-zag line and a dot under his left one. His wavy white hair appears clean and well-maintained, though messy, with silver streaks blended in. He dresses, once again contrary to logic, more-or-less unassumingly, in more of a uniform; foregoing the armor, furs, and jewelry more common for noble demons. He wears a very pale blue coat with a high collar, with fastens off to the side. The collar is connected to a brighter blue square piece that covers his right shoulder and a little more than half his chest, held in place with three large, gold buttons. The sleeves are tight and black with wide, flaring cuffs that almost completely cover his palms. They are separated from the rest of the article with two pale grey strips, held closed with silver buckles, and have stripes closer to his wrists, two white on his left arm, and three on his right with the middle one being blue. On the right breast of his coat is a black symbol of a crescent moon and an upside-down five-point star. He has the same logo seemingly tattooed on the back of his neck. He also wears pastel blue gloves, black leggings and short black boots with raised heels, pointed toes, and gray cuffs. If he is summoned by a human, he sometimes takes the form of an animal, usually a cat, snake, or some kind of bird, or else will appear with some kind of minor alteration to his normal appearance, such as a tail or horns. Although, like everything he is and does, this depends on his whims. The only hard and fast rule there really is in regards to his appearance is that when angered, his colour scheme will change from blue to red, and his eyes will change, the scleras turning black, and the irises turning red, all of his teeth will become sharp, and he will sometimes grow taller. Personality Despite his position as one of the three major demon princes, Uliel is hard to take seriously. This is partially because his ‘default’ form is so diminutive for a demon -being roughly five feet tall- but mostly, this is due to his childish nature and unpredictable actions. As a demon, Uliel is very self-centered and hedonistic, taking what he wants when he wants it and getting upset when something gets in his way. However, he is also very insane, impulsive, and volatile, and his reactions to a given situation can be hard to judge. For instance, unlike most demons, he may help someone, especially someone who summoned him, without making a contract, or even expecting anything in return, simply due to boredom. The reverse is equally true, however, and he may demand an outrageous price for his services, such as the person’s soul for a comparatively minor or simple task, and then take it anyway as a price for ‘wasting his time’ when they refuse, or change his mind after helping someone for free and demanding payment later. His actual price seems random too, varying from random items or human money to dead body parts to the death of a specific person or the eternal servitude of the summoner post-death. This makes him very dangerous to deal with and therefore, although he is the easiest of the three demonic princes to summon, he is often a last resort, even to many of his followers. Another famous aspect of his instability is that he may completely change his perspective on a situation, thing, or person for no reason, or with the most minor of provocations. He is rarely asked to ally in battles as he is infamous for switching sides at random, fighting with the angelic army against his fellow demons, remaining neutral and attacking anything within range, or simply observing passively as often as he actually is fighting with the proper side. It is also not uncommon for him to appear friendly at first, especially to followers, anyone who summons him, or visitors to his realm, then mentally or physically attack, torture, or kill them on a whim. This is not necessarily purposeful deception, as he often is legitimately well-meaning up until the point that the subject no longer holds his interest. This is not to say that he can’t be deceiving, though. Despite his reputation among other demonic and angelic nobility as a moronic lunatic, he is equally well-known among humans and lesser demons and angels as being a conniving trickster, to the point that cunning is one of the major virtues celebrated by his followers. He will rarely if ever pass up an opportunity to mess with anyone for his own enjoyment, and often specifically goes looking for such opportunities. The only time he seems to display any emotion other than psychotic glee, childish amusement, pettiness, or apathy is when he is angry. His personality drastically seems to change, and he becomes extremely hostile and dangerous. He is petty as ever, but becomes more sadistic than anything, and seems to openly revel in the suffering of others. His main goal often seems to be tormenting those around him, especially the one who upset him. Normally this is done through means of psychological or emotional manipulation, but contrary to others of his aspect and his more common tactics, there is also a decent chance that this can be physical torture, and the use of both is frequent. Family Creator: King Interitus (often refers to him as his father, even though this isn't strictly true) Siblings: Refers to the other demonic princes as his siblings: Orezul-De Anima Omniesse; the Demon Prince of Soul, and Arzita-Corporis Omniesse; the Demon Prince of Body Other: Refers to the angelic princes as his cousins: Lahsiel-De Anima Vivesse; the Angel Prince of Soul, Domon-Corporis Vivesse; the Angel Prince of Body, and Santem-Mentis Vivesse; the Angel Prince of Mind. By this logic he is also ‘related’ to the angelic creator, Queen Genetio. (whom he refers to as ‘Aunt Genie’ for some reason) History No one knows how old the aspect princes are, and most would be surprised if even they themselves knew. They were created thousands of years ago by the Demon King Interitus and the Angel Queen Genetio to watch over domains of their respective realms. Each of them created three princes; one each representing the soul, mind, and body; the three aspects of existence. Each prince was given a third of their respective kingdom to rule over as they saw fit. Through time, the humans in the realm between the demonic and angelic kingdoms began to worship and form unique religions surrounding the princes. The aspect princes all mirrored their counterparts, the demonic prince representing the darker side of their aspect, and the angelic representing the lighter. The angelic ‘Corporis’, or body prince, Domon, is seen by the humans as a symbol of strength, courage, and honour, and his abilities reflect that, while his demonic counterpart, Arzita, represents battle prowess, carnage, and death. Likewise, the angelic prince ‘De Anima’, of soul, Lahsiel, represents purity, kindness, and good, and his counterpart Orezul, represents misfortune, malice, and evil. Finally, Uliel’s ‘Mentis’ counterpart, Santem, is a symbol of logic, wisdom, and dreams, while Uliel himself is the embodiment of chaos, insanity, and nightmares. Demons and angels are notorious rivals, however, and times of peace in the human realm, which has served as their battle ground since the beginning of recorded history, have been few and far between. Naturally, this eventually caused the humans to divide as well, and the six major religions formed the basis for six provinces in two countries; the provinces of Hendaria (body), Prospis (mind), and Beima (soul) in the angelic country, Lucem, and the provinces of Astylian (body), Ciras (mind), and Drerimar (soul) in the demonic country, Caliga. These countries are treated as sort of colonies by the otherworldly realms, with each kingdom more or less looking after its respective provinces, with varying degrees of direct involvement by the princes. War and fighting are common all over the human realm, with some believing the countries should stay as they are, angelic versus demonic, while some believe that they should be divided up according to aspect, and others think each province should become its own country. However, it is all a backdrop to the angelic and demonic armies; ever since King Interitus and Queen Genetio, who managed to keep an uneasy peace between the realms most of the time, vanished centuries ago, war has been a constant plague. Uliel, of course, loves the chaos, and unlike his counterpart, Santem, does everything in his power to keep it going. His demon siblings have long since stopped attempting to ally with him as inevitably, every time, his chaotic whims ruin their plans and more often than not cause them to lose the battle, or for it to end in a draw. He also spends his time waging his own battles at random, with no immediately evident strategy, or particular regard for the lives of his troops and followers, or the wellbeing of either realm. However, he has a particular disdain for Santem, and attacks him with the most frequency, and is generally more spiteful than usual when around him in person. ((I kind of want to make a separate thread somewhere explaining this whole thing better but this is good enough for now. Also, on the off-chance that someone else wants to make one of the other princes, I should point out that they’re all genderless, and none of them strictly have a specific physical ‘form’. Their appearance is entirely up to them, though some have a harder time changing than others.)) |
