He has red eyes with slit pupils, fangs, dark brown hair, and pointed ears. He wears a white, long-sleeved shirt, a small red overshirt, and black pants that go to his knees. Over this, he wears a long, brown, burlap cloak, that's shredded near the ends, with a large hood that can cover his entire head. In the hood of the cloak are two eyeholes that are covered with black cloth that's been enchanted so that he can see through it, but no one else. Personality Jasper doesn't act much like most demons in his world. He is friendly, and likes to help others. He tries to be like the others, however, and will often catch himself and turn around whatever he'd said or done to fit the common demon attitude. He also has trouble staying serious, and will often seem rather bubbly without meaning to. He doesn't want to be treated like a kid, though he is obviously very childish. Rubi found him dying in the streets of a demon town and took pity on him, giving him food and shelter in return for loyalty and a helping hand in her schemes. He looked up to her, and would consistently try to find ways to be more like her. However, he found this difficult with his near-instinctive friendliness and need to help others. When given the chance, he named himself after a gemstone, similar to his role model, and learned to summon and control fire to be more like her. He had a natural immunity to fire due to his heritage, which came in handy during his days practicing with it. As he ran out of books to learn from and Rubi ran out of things to teach him, he realized that he still wanted to know more. He began learning about how to summon electricity, though this proved more difficult, as if he messed up he would get a painful shock. During breaks in between trying to learn how to control the electricity he summoned, he began learning about magical runes. Since they were so quick and easy for him to learn, they were a pleasant break from repeatedly shocking oneself. When Rubi left, putting him in charge temporarily, he was scared, but that quickly turned into pride. However, the others of the group didn't agree. They fought over leadership briefly, but Jasper was strong enough to keep them in place. However, when Rubi didn't return as quickly as they'd thought she would, many broke off from the group. It didn't take long before there were practically no members left. Jasper tried to get the few remaining members to help him search for their lost leader, but they, with their demon pride, refused unless there would be some sort of reward for them. That being said, Jasper started off, alone, in search of Rubi.
