Cleo Ethelinda Marais |
General Age: 7 years Date of Birth: March 15th Gender: Female Species: Naga Dimension: The Serpent's Swamp Appearance Link; link Cleo is a naga; half human, half snake. She has patches of green scales on her nose, cheeks, shoulders, elbows, and towards the tips of her fingers. Her chest is covered in similar scales, which continues onto her snake-like lower body. Larger, lighter-colored, and softer scales cover the front part of her body, including the bottom of her snake-half. Meanwhile there are darker-colored scales on her back which form strange, round patterns. She has a rounded face, with large eyes, a large, round nose, and large, pointed ears. Her blond hair is smooth and straight, but also messy, and usually covers half of her face. She was born blind, so her eyes are a cloudy gray and never focus on anything. Personality Cleo is friendly and outgoing. She can be shy at first, especially since she can't see who it is she's talking to, but she quickly warms up to those who are nice to her. She assumes everyone is like her, half snake, and hearing otherwise is often very confusing to her, since she's never really met anyone who's not a naga. She is somewhat numb to sadness and depression, but not entirely so. She is strong in the face of hardship, but her shell can be broken. When it is, it becomes abundantly clear that she is a child just like any other. She has a habit of being very touchy-feely, as she 'sees' with her hands, tongue, nose, and ears. The easiest way for her to 'see' something is to touch it or lick it, and since most people don't like to be licked, she likes to touch them. This also means that she likes physical contact, especially hugs. Likes

Family Mother: Unknown Father: Unknown Siblings: Unknown Other: Unknown History Though naga are half human and half snake, their birth and childhood is more similar to a human's. The only difference is that naga tend to venture out on their own at much younger ages. It's also fairly common for naga parents to abandon children after three or four years and never gain a family bond. Unlike humans, they are solitary beings, and groups, or even families, are rare. Though some do, most naga do not and never will understand love. When Cleo was born her father had already been killed in a bad storm. Her mother took care of her the best she could and taught her the basics, but abandoned her not long after she reached the age of two, assuming she wouldn't be able to survive because she was blind. Eventually she was forced to hunt for food due to hunger, and she accepted that she was now on her own. She did well, despite her lack of sight, and learned to use her other senses to do just as well as the other naga. She has claimed a home in one of the many cypress trees of the swamp she lives in, and so far hasn't met anyone other than her mother. |
